My T60 and new T7500 CPU

Hello,
I'm currently replacing old T2400 to T7500 I've bought on the internet. I've done everything as the "Hardware Maintenance Manual" says, triple-checked every step, but now when I'm booting my computer:

- when I plug power source, two (battery and power) diodes are emitting light
- I push the power button, almost every diode (as normal when I boot it on T2400) flashes, but after 1sec every diode stops emitting light and I laptop stops working
- then, when I have no power diode even with power plugged in, and
- I can't switch it on again (no reaction)
- when I plug power source out and after a while plug it in, the hole situation repeat itself

What should I do and to what those symptoms point at?

Sorry for my English language and thanks for yours replays.

EDIT:
My laptop type is T60 2007-46G and BIOS is 2.23

FYI, there are numerous posts about this on the forum, use the SEARCH feature.

You can not use the T7500, it is simply not compatible. Any T2300, T2400, T2500, T2600, T2700, T5500, T5600, T7200, T7400, T7600 is supported. Basically, you need a Socket M CPU, not a Socket P CPU.

*sigh* Pity that you went through the trouble to do everything in the HMM and triple-check every step, but forgot to check the list of compatible CPUs. :(

I'm an idiot. I checked compatibility list earlier, found T7600, then on e-auction I found T7500 cheaper, I thought it will work too... my bad.
