Display problem on T61 - Green

My T61 display started showing the black color during startup as green, and when it boots, it appears that every third (or so) vertical line is missing. See Image.
I've opened it up and reconnected the LCD cable, as well as the inverter board cable, but no change.
Has anyone else here had this issue? Ideas are appreciated!

If you have nvidia graphics see this thread. You have a bad GPU.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give them a call on Monday. I guess it's a bad news/good news situation, we'll see.

The rep I spoke with says that my issue is not in his database and not covered by the Nvidia issue. He also stated that he cannot find the MIGR 75087 document in his documents database. I asked him to escalate up to the next level and he replied that he has no other department to escalate to for out-of-warranty systems.
I don't know if the system needs to exhibit the beeps at boot-up in order to qualify for this?
BTW, I've already replaced the inverter board and LCD cable because they're cheap. No improvement.

I just encountered the same problem on my laptop yesterday. The color is not so much green, but it is definitely not right. I took a close up picture of the screen and every other vertical line on the display is missing/blacked out. I have to lower the resolution to 960x600 so I can actually read anything on the display. I hooked up an external display and everything looks fine, so I'm figuring everything is ok with the GPU. Like you (filipo) I disassembled and reseated all the display connectors and the problem remains. I also tried loading all the latest windows 7 64 bit drivers for the display, no luck.
Did you get any resolution on this issue? Do you think the display is bad? I would hate to purchase a new display, and then find out that it's not the problem.

My wifes T61 had the same thing with NVS 140M GPU: greenish hue and also tiled image. External VGA was fine but later that was corrupted too.
So it is definitely GPU, not LCD, cable etc.
