Are there any situations where a T4x 14.1" SXGA+ LCD can be used in a T60/T61? Thanks.
Bob

That is quite a good mod! It isn't even that hard to make.
Would any T4x panel be compatible with T6x if using above mod? I am looking for a SXGA panel for my T60, and i think i can get a T4x SXGA panel from someone.

The mod addresses a particular LCD. That being LG.Philips LP150E05 A2, IBM P/N: 92P6758, FRU P/N: 92P6761, which is a 15" SXGA+ model. Since your T60 has a 14" LCD, I would recommend against applying this mod to any other LCD then the one for which it was intended. For starters pin assignments are going to be different between a 14" SXGA+ LCD and a 15" SXGA+ LCD, assuming the mod would otherwise work. You need to specifically ask AlexeyTolstyh if he has done it to a 14" T60, what are the pins involved, and what specific LCD was used. You also can't assume (2) different manufacturers of T4X SXGA+ 14" LCDs are going to use the same pinouts either. This is a pretty specific mod, don't assume otherwise or else your T60 will be damaged.

I think a pins assigment must be same of 14" and 15" SXGA panels if they both uses same type of connector (30 pin). So main problem is checking than DDC pins are NOT GROUNDED before applying this mod or installing panel in laptop. Second problem - valid EDID, in my case same type of panel (LP150E05) used in both T42/T43 and T60, i just download it from T60 panel and write to modded panel. In case when some type of panel was not used in T60, there need to found a valid EDID for T60 i think. For example EDID database here
