Hi guys,
I wanna replace my fan assembly because my fan makes a rattling noise, however, I'm not sure which fan assembly I should buy. My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T60 2007-BF3 with s/n L3-BY914 06/06. Can you please tell me which fan I need?
Cheers,
Maikel

Maikel:
Welcome to the forum!
As HarryC says, your fan is FRU (Field replacable Unit number) 41V9932 however you might benefit from seeing the thread Fan for T60 2007-CTO and especially this post. While you may get a new fan from IBM/USA it is probably quite expensive in shipping, so another option is to place a "WTB" (Want To Buy) advertisement in the Marketplace section of this forum. Recently another forum member, jamiphar, was looking for a similar fan - and as you'll see in the thread LF: Three good, silent T60 fans for ATI GPU he got several offers. Another option is to buy the fan as a spare part directly from IBM/New Zealand ... call them for order info.
