CPUID Hardware Monitor OR TPFanControl (TPFC.62)

#1 Post by Param » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:35 pm

I was using CPUID hardware monitor to check my GPU temperature, which is used to be in the range of 67-69 during normal browsing, however TPFancontrol (TPFC.62) reports the temperature for GPU to be just 60-61C

CPU temperatures reported by both utilities are same, Just the GPU value differs

Which is accurate?

Thanks

I think that the temperature reported by TPFan is more accurate.
Proof: I let my T61 (T60p frankenpad) go to stand-by for 1 hour, and 10 seconds after resuming from standby, CPU and GPU temperature reported by TPFan are equal within 1deg tolerance.
