Sleep Mode

My T60 is setup to go into sleep mode when the lid is closed. About 5% of the time when I open the lid (after the machine going into sleep mode via a lid closing) it will not come out of sleep mode. I have tried the Fn + F4 (has the half moon sleep shape) and it still does not come out of sleep mode. I have to do a hard shut down (power off) and restart.

Any suggestions?

not sure if this will solve your issue>
- but make sure your have FREE SPACE on your HD ( often requires HUGE AMOUNTS).
- Lenovo Power Manager (if installed ) is in-sync with WIndows Power Manager

Have you tried to press the power button normally? and Fn+F4 is to put it to sleep - in order to wake it up, press the power button or hold FN until it starts
