Light in the webcam slot won't turn on

#1 Post by hurj » Thu Apr 21, 2011 3:32 pm

I have a T61. About a year ago I reformatted my hard drive and installed windows 7. About the same time the little led in the webcam slot stopped working. Is this a hardware or a software issue? I never reinstalled the thinkvantage software and have no real desire to since I never used it, is that why it hasn't been working? If so, can I just install a driver or one little piece of software to get it working without running the whole thinkvantage suite?

as far as i know theres no driver related for thinklight. most probably is hardware issue. can be loose somewhere can be faulty also. if still have warranty just ask them to replace. to answer your question. no you dont need any thinkvantage sw to turn on that light.
