I'm looking to upgrade from my maxed out T40 which appears to have a shorted CPU fan connector on the motherboard.

I was trying to get more info on the refurbs(6464-WG6) but that doesn't come up as a valid product number on lenovo's website.

would these come with the nVidia GPU or the Intel GPU?

It appears the promotion has expired. “Integrated graphics” usually means Intel. You can probably get a better deal here in the marketplace, like this one, for example:

that was the sort of confirmation i was looking for, thanks! the r61 appears to be in very good condition, but i'm partial to the T-series.

Read the reviews at Newegg. It seems like there are some problems with these units. I agree the Marketplace is a much better place to buy a used Thinkpad.

not only that, the newegg units are XGA(unfortunately that's a deal-breaker).

ended up buying a nice 15" Flexview-equipped T60(2007-55U) from an ebay vendor who had 3 of them for sale for $215 buy-it-now+$10 for shipping.

other than some of the keys being a bit shiny, the LCD panel is perfect(not yellow or yellowing), the laptop overall is cosmetically is 9 out of 10.

it came with a 9-cell battery that has a remaining capacity of 73.01 Wh out of the original 77.71 Wh and it also came with 2 gigs of ram when it was advertised as 1g.

i had a paypal promo code for 10% off that I was able to stack on the deal, it was a very nice deal overall. took me a while to upgrade to xp sp3 and 100+ M$ updates on top of that, but that comes with the territory.
