Hey guys,

I was taking an online survey when all of a sudden AVG tells me I'd better quarantine a trojan. This happens every once in a while, but this time I received the blue screen of death and my pc shut down. Upon trying to reboot, I get past the ThinkVantage screen and all I get is the flashing cursor. I have NO IDEA what to do to get back into windows. I tried F8 for safemode...nothing. I've tried fooling around in Bios, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any ideas? Bios still recognizes the drive, but I can't get back into windows.

GF

Welcome to the forum.
Arrange for a PC with the likes of Antimalwarebytes, Superantispyware and Spybot Search & Destroy installed, all updated to the latest signatures.
Then remove your HD and use e.g. a USB enclosure to check that HD from that PC for baddies.
