LCD assembly swap options

Greetings,

I'm about to do an LCD assembly swap on a T60 (type 6371-74U). Are there any restrictions to swapping in a higher resolution LCD assembly -vs- the original. What would be ideal is to swap out the LCD assembly and video cable to something better. The T60 met with a goodyear tire in the owner's driveway, and I'm planning to tear into this today to see what else it needs, but from what I understand, everything else works.

Ted, the T60's are not like earlier Thinkpads where you need different LCD cables for higher resolution LCD's. They are all the same part in the T60 series. The inverter is also the same for WSXGA+ and WXGA. See the LCD parts list - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-66977
