Should I buy this ThinkPad T60

Hello,

I never had a ThinkPad before and I would like to buy one. A friend of mine wants to sell me a used one with the following configuration:

He is asking for it 490 euros, what do you guys think?
Are there other things I should pay attention?
I'm a full time web developer.

Lot of fancy wording to make it sound like a high end laptop. It's nice but not top of the line for T60's.
Like the "512 mb video" it's really 128 megs.
It can take 2x2 gb ram but only use 3.3 gb of it.

Not sure what used systems go for where your to but here in Canada and USA on eBay and this forum ,that system would go for about 300.00 give or take a few bucks.

That sounds about right, a laptop in the US lets say of 1200 $ will arrive in Romanian stores with 1750$ (taxes, shipping).
What bothers me is the generic charger, could that affect the baterry life in time?

I don't think that a "generic charger" would affect battery life. I used some after market adapters befor and never had any problems.

Check out our Market forum, several T60 for sale there at a better price.
Shipping to Romania is probably between $50.- and $60.-
