The title says it all.. I want to connect an old laserjet to a t60
and had no luck with any of the usb-to-lpt adapters so far (the printer
works fine on another pc). Could I hook it up using an advanced
mini dock without issues?

I had a similar issue with a peripheral I used to use. It had to detect that it was hooked to a parallel port. I found a pc card that actually showed as LPT1 but it was ~$100 at the time. I believe you can get the same result using the dock, though I have not tried it.

AFAIK yes, make sure to enable LPT1 in BIOS.
Alternatively, get a print server with parallel port and hook that up to your router.

I use the parallel port on an advanced mini dock to connect my T60 to an HP 920C printer. It works with no problems.

i can also confirm that my advanced mini dock interfaces my t60p perfectly to my parallel port driven hplj 6p.
