Which Thinkpad/IBM/Lenovo Software do you use?

So I have here a new (to me) T60p, and since the PO replaced the HD (with a 500mb model!) it doesn't have any of the proprietary Thinkpad/IBM/Lenovo stuff on it. I miss some of this stuff, like the on-screen display, power management thingy, etc. And I really want the blue button (Thinkvantage) to do something!! So, I am about to start downloading from the Lenovo support site. But before I do, I was wondering....how do you all configure your system? Do you keep all of the Thinkpad clutter, or do you eliminate it all, or do you pick and choose? Are any of the bits hard on system resources for what you get? All comments appreciated!

I guess technically this is not a T6x only question, but I thought I would ask here since that is what the machine is.....

Don't go crazy downloading at random. Install Thinkvantage system update and let it do the work for you. Just based on what you'd like, I'd install the Power management utilities, hotkey drivers, and active protection system. You are not gonig to get the Thinivantage/R&R button to do anything meaningful with regard to a recovery partition unless you procure recovery CD's.

Note: Read the fine print at the linked site. You need .net installed first.
