Audio Plugin Improves ThinkPad Sound Levels and Quality

First, let me say that although I have a personal relationship with the developers of the software I'm about to discuss, I have no commercial connection to the company, Bongiovi Acoustics, that designed and markets this plugin.
As some of you will recall, I was the starter of a long thread about the removal of stereo mix from the T61 series. I've also been complaining of the overall poor audio on my T61/p. Audio is often too low, cannot be raised, is bass deficient and overall is just not what you would expect from such an expensive machine.
Tony Bongiovi is a major player in the professional recording business See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Bongiovi and http://www.tonybongiovi.com/ for some background on the man. He's been a major factor in studio and broadcast technologies for years.
He's formed a new company, Bongiovi Acoutics, http://www.dpsplugin.com/ and is offering the Bongiovi DPS plugin for PC and Mac computers. There's a 48 hour demo available for download. If you do download it, extract the zip file. Do not try to run the installer from the zip because it will fail.
While the plugin will not solve the stereo mix problem, the added volume, bass and overall clarity, at least on my machine is amazing. I'm no longer running the volume up to the stops and I'm enjoying listening to the machine (within the limits of a laptop) for the first time since I first bought it. If you're interested in getting more out of your audio subsystem, you should give this a try.
And a special note to HARRYC: The plugin is not specific for the T61 series. Give it a try on the series you're having a problem with. The demo is good for 48 hours and the uninstall is very clean.
