T60 Device Manager shows 2 Intel network adapters=OK?
In the midst of solving no wifi connection, I noticed 2 adapters on device manager list. Is this correct? After removing access connection Windows was able to find networks. But since I also removed wifi driver no connection. Now, when loading what I thought was latest and greatest from Intel an error message "...product cannot support downgrading from version 14.00.1000 to version 13.05.000. Where can I find the correct driver? Tried the Lenovo site, kind of a quagmire for what seems a simple request..Thanks..

Assuming that you have an Intel 3945abg adapter, this is the driver you want;

Uninstall all other wireless drivers first.

Two network adapters? One would be the Ethernet port and the other wireless.

Thanks,but now getting worse. I loaded wifi driver, and restarted. Now freezes at password - no action with fingerprint reader and stalls at control-alt-delete. Just the blue screen of death.

Pull the wifi card out of the machine, boot into safe mode, and remove ALL the wifi drivers. Then, put the card back in and see if you can boot normally. Make sure you are installing the correct driver for your card.

After third try restart did restart and programs seems to run fine. Now, access connections not showing under thinkvantage productivity center , but can be accessed thru Fn-F5. Diagnostic Tools show cause as "not connected" Error Code: 011. Using Window to manage connections also not working, sees 'em but won't connect. Now to try with other wifi....

I had a similar problem, resulting in a very similar hangup: driver was installed, card didn't work. Every attempt to uninstall the card and reinstall driver (the newest from Lenovo or Intel said they were 13.4.x) woud end up in getting the above "no downgrade" message or "error uninstalling" or "error istalling" driver.
In the end I could get rid of this driver by using its own installer.
I solved that thanks to http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantag ... d-p/128652 - by once more un- and installing the driver after Access Connections was installed.
Wonder how all that happened - maybe by my unlucky choosing the "last known working configuration" after my system refused to boot following a Lenovo System Update.
Everything seems to work now.

In the end I could get rid of this driver by using its own installer.
- * Found the installer searching for "14.00.1000" - it was a textfile, stating it contained the 14. driver version.
* Changed the file extension in the URL to the final http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... w211ww.exe
* That is a 250 MB package. It could even repair, uninstall and reinstall the driver - all to no avail, only uninstalling was a way that led further.
* Took the previously downloaded 13.4 Intel driver
