Thinkpad T60 battery not charging

Hello,
I recently replaced the motherboard on my T60 with a used motherboard purchased on ebay. Now I cannot charge any battery, although the laptop will run on battery. Is it possible that this is a software problem? (I tried three different batteries and the contacts seem to be clean.)

I assume the laptop charged recently before the replacement? Also assuming these charged batteries are from another machine? Another assumption is the ones that will not charge completely are not drained to 0%, and they will charge in another machine?

I would not suspect software in any case. Running from the battery and charging the battery are both independent functions of the motherboard... With all the above assumptions being normal, I would 1st suspect the used MB.

P.S. If you think about it, laptops will charge normally regardless of OS, even with the power off.

yes, the batteries have been charged while the old motherboard was installed. One is original, two are not, but all work well.

I suppose the problem is in the motherboard then. I know it is a rather bad question, but is there a chance this might be a small problem worth having the motherboard repaired?

If you just recently purchased it, I would contact the seller for a replacement/refund... from searching around you don't seem to have a common issue that people would have documented a fix for.

As for professionally repaired... prolly more cost then it is worth, but I ain't informed in this area, sorry
