Rescue and Recovery Problem

I've owned a refurbished T61 7659-12U for over a year now and I really like it. I recently purchased a 320 GB hard drive to replace the 80 GB original equipment, and I want to set it up with the factory install, recovery partition, etc. So I purchased a set of recovery discs for this model. It is a 3-disc set (1. Start Recovery Disc. 2. Operating System Recovery Disc, Windows Vista Business SP1 and 3. Applications and Drivers Recovery Disc for Thinkpad T61, T61p)

I inserted the "Start Recovery Disc" in the optical drive and booted to it. After prompting me to select a language and accept licensing terms, I arrived at a dialog box which says: "If you have a set of Operating System recovery discs, place Disc 1 in the optical drive then press Yes, if not press No". So, I placed my OS Recovery Disc (marked Disc 2) into the drive and then pressed Yes. The system responded with: "This is not the correct disc, please remove the disc and press OK". So, I followed the directions, then it said place Start Recovery disc into the optical drive and press OK. After I had complied it once again responded with: "This is not the correct disc, please remove the disc and press OK"

I tried restarting setup several times and get no farther than the prompt for the Operating System Recovery Disc. Whether I choose Yes or No, the result is ultimately the same.

I then took my old drive, formatted it and wiped it clean with Active Kill Disc. Then I attempted to run the Recovery program on it and got the same results.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong or missing a step. The discs are official Lenovo DVD media, and on the applications and drivers disc, my system model (7659) is in the list of supported systems. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
