Are batteries covered under a refurbished warranty?

Hi guys,
Well I got my 3 T60 computers yesterday and I have to say that I'm majorly impressed with them.
Each one of the computers came in a sealed box with documentation stating that they have been refurbished by Lenovo.
The only problem that I've ran in to is that one of the batteries is crap.
The other two will last in the 3 hour range but the third one won't even take a charge.
If you hover the mouse pointer over the battery icon it says that the battery has failed due to normal use and should be replaced.
So will this battery be covered under the 90 Lenovo warranty?
I would assume that since this is a factory refurbished machine that the battery should have been good, in fact there is a label on the battery that says it is used/tested.
So, if any of you know the answer to my question I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
