Playing games?

can the t61 Intel play unreal 2004? or counter strike? or any of the open source FPS game, ET. Red eclipse?

Thinkpads are business machines, and were never intended for gaming (check out e.g. Alienware for that).
They may well be able to play some or all of the above, but it won't be a satisfying experience. YMMV.

The X3100 should do okay with CSS; I used to play it on the X61.

I play WoW on my T61p.

No, they were not intended to play games, but some of them can and do it well.

FWIW - I have both Halo 1 and Halo 2 installed on my T60 (256MB GPU) and they play fine

I play Unreal 2003 and 2004 on my T60 with Core Duo 1.83Ghz and ATI X1300 64 meg just fine.
With the SXGA+ screen too.
I sometimes output the video to my 32" 1080P HDTV and plays great.

what about that ONLIVE game services? does it play crisis at max settings?
