T61 CPU and Battery Compatibility

I currently have a R60 Thinkpad with a T7200 CPU and a 9 Cell battery that holds a good charge

Would the battery work in a T61? and would a T61 take a 667 FSB CPU if i get a T61 thats got a a lower CPU?

1) Find the #FRU on the battery and put it into google and you'll find out most quickly!

I see where it says T7200...

I believe the T61 needs socket P processors, and the T7200 is a socket M processor (which would work in a T60).

Getting back to the OP's question, the 9 cell battery can be used with any T60 or any 14.1" 4:3 LCD T61 or any 15.4" T61. (The 14.1" widescreen T61 model takes a completely different style battery.)

The CPU will work in any T60, but not in any T61.
