T61 RAM upgrade seems sorry.

I had a Windows areo RAM score of 5.9 with 4 gigs of 800mhz. DDR2 in Win 7 64 bit in the T61.
My Toshiba with the same 4 gigs Patriot 800mhz. RAM has a score of 6.4 with a 32 bit Win 7.

I upgraded the T61 to 8 gigs, double the RAM Patriot PSD24G8002S 6400 800Mhz sodimm CL6 and my win 7 64 bit areo score is 6.1 (a lower score than 4 gigs in the Toshiba with 1/2 the same RAM!)

What? is the front side buss 800 MHZ. in the T61 or is it slower?
Or is Windows 7 Areo just retarded?

Just guessing here, but unless the two computers have exactly the same GPU, that is probably where difference is, and not so much the RAM.

No, the Win7 performance index has no real value as a benchmark test. It basically just takes the component with the highest speed value and disguises it as as the overall score. In my humble opinion this is nothing more than the digital equivalent to snake oil.

The think pad has a far faster possessor and the score is still lower.

The WEI is determined by the lowest of the five subscores, not an average of the five or the highest of the five.

I get that the lowest score is areo graffix at 4.1 my RAM score is 6.1 (8 gigs) 64 bit.
In a 4 gig 32 bit system using half the same RAM the score is 6.4 ( 4.0 gigs)
