How can I add ExpressCARD card (54 or 34 size) to this Thinkpad T61 notebook?
At top I see PCMCIA slot, it works.
Can any expert explain what slots watchable in this picture?
How can I remove the PCMCIA door holder to access to ExpressCard?
Thanks.

This Thinkpad simply does not have any ExpressCard slot. You will need an external solution via USB (which defeats the ExpressCard speed advantage), or have to apply major surgery to replace that slot cage with a more suitable part.

You have one of the rather rare T61's coming with a Smartcard reader on the bottom half, combined with a standard CardBus slot in the upper half. There is no door holder to remove, as there is no Expresscard slot.
In order to replace this combination with a normal Cardbus-/Expresscard-Slot combination one needs to completely disassemble the machine down to the mainboard assembly, in order to access the connectors for the slot cage. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely possible.
There is a video on
www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/R61_T61 showing how to disassemble the relevant portions of the machine.

Thanks for the answers.
Sorry for included image.
So, this T61 had NO EXPRESSCARD slot, right? I get it with PCMCIA + ExpressCard feature...
So, If I get an used T61 PCMCIA + ExpressCard item, I can add ECard feature? How many times to replace my PCMCIA reader to PCMCIA+Expresscard? Need any skills to do that?

Yes, once you replace the built in one with the used item.

What you see in my frist picture it's PCMCIA TYPE II or III slot?
This PCMCIA to EXPRESSCARD 34 converter will work on my PCMCIA slot - what do you think?

I know, PCMCIA slower than ExpressCard...
