Wifi keeps old SSID after resume
Wifi keeps old SSID after resume
I doubt this is a T60-specific problem, but maybe someone else has seen it and figured a way around it. I have a T60 with an Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG adapter running XP SP3. Around half the time I resume my machine, the wireless takes an unusually long time to connect (15-20s) and, although the 'bubble' pop-up reports it has connected to the local network, running ipconfig reports that XP is still using the SSID and IP address from before I suspended the machine. If this is from another wireless network (like if I went from home to Starbucks), the networking doesn't work. A quick ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew sets things straight, but it's still a nuisance. I've done a fair amount of googling this but so far haven't come up with a solution. Has anyone seen this type of behavior?

If you move around a lot between networks you need a network connection manager. Try Lenovo's access connections.
