T61 screen resolution mixup

Hi!

I bought a T61 6464 with a WSXGA+ display.

In WinXP the screen resolution is not a matter.
But now I iinstalled Win7 64bit and it tells me that 1280 would be the maximum resolution.
The board features the Intel chipset (R965? I have to check on that).

I had a similar thing with my T43p, but solved it by installing the vista video driver.
I already installed the vista 64 bit package from the lenovo rep. To no effect of course.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Falcon

Are you absolutely sure it is the WSXGA+ screen? What is the full model number? (6464-???)

I didn't check the resolution on XP, but I noticed it being meldted down when Win7 started for the first time. Therefore I am positive about the display type.

The complete model would be 6464 AK7

Do you need the serial number as well?
