T60 stuck key 0210 FF

#1 Post by arizz » Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:34 am

I have a T60 1952-xxx model with a problem: when I turn on the notebook appears a log message error 0210 stuck key FF: I replaced the keyboard with new keyboard, because I believed the problem was the keyboard, not so! The keyboard does not respond with any key (only the power button works). In addition, the PC continues to beep. In the notebook is installed the latest BIOS version 2.27. Is the motherboard gone?

Change the BIOS to NOT report keyboard errors.
Are you using a dock by any chance? These cause that error sometimes.
Other things to check:
-dirt or bent pins in the USB ports
-(near)dead CMOS battery
-remove the modem, see if that helps.

I don't use dock.
I cleaned the usb port with specific liquid for electric contacts.
I changed the battery with new and i follow your suggest (remove the modem card).
For now no results. :(
