t60 power jack failure or MB ?

Ok, Noticed the jack has way to much wiggle to it, but the ac light does come on till you hit the power button and then goes out?So hate to replace the power jack(Have done it on a toshiba so should not be a problem)and find out the MB is dead. tried clearing things out with the push ten times then hold for aleast 30 sec on power button.it did come back on BUT My daughter came in while I was gone and inserted the bad battery and killed it again,(will not come on and light goes out as soon as you push button) So I was running it without battery installed. Any help would be great! thanks Mark
