Hi all x40 owners:
well... has anyone checked out the 60gb 1.8" hitachi drives?
Model #HTC426060G9AT00
(this is not a promotion of anyone's site, just results from froogle):
http://www.ezsystems.com/dcat.cgi?i=HTC426060G9AT00
http://store.yahoo.com/tonyh/hi16054trc4h.html
They are about $250, or roughly twice the price of a comparable (well, prolly faster 5400 rpm) 2.5" 60gb drive. oi.
Any thoughts... I guess I'm going to take the plunge but would appreciate any comments, etc.
Does anyone know if this drive (or the .zif variant) has been picked up by an MP3 or portable video OEM? That might bring the price down... maybe?
thanks all.
sam
