Problem installing Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software

I was running Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software 5.6.1 on my ThinkPad X61 XP.

I removed this via the Control panel. All went well.

Then I ran the new exe file for 5.8.8. It installed quickly but nothing appeared to have been installed.

I discovered that you have to complete the installation manually.

You go to c:SWTOOLS/DRIVERS/Fingerprint/83f505ww/install/32bit and execute setup.exe.

After that everything was as expected.
