Thinking of getting the X4 Ultrabase

#1 Post by DavidNZ » Thu Apr 28, 2005 3:11 am

My X40 didn't come with the Ultrabase, and now that I have a bevvy of external stuff, am thinking of getting the Ultrabase, the HDD adaptor for Ultrabay slim, a 72W adaptor, and a Travelstar 7K60.

As it stands, when I come home with the computer, I plug in:

1. An external Dell 15" monitor
2. The IBM USB travel keyboard (into the left USB slot)
3. A powered USB port, into which goes two portable USB hard drives, sometimes my external CD-RW, and every once in a while my Palm and digital voice recorder.
4. the 56W power brick.

This all works fine, but just a hassle. Thought it would be nice to just seat the X40 and have everything ready to go. And, use the 7K60 and R&R to image the drive. And the 56W brick can just stay in my briefcase.

No real point to this post, just thinking through my fingers...
