wireless card not working with my X31!!

I have a mini-pci a/b/g card that worked with my X40, its from IBM, its an IBM part, and I try to put it in my X31 and it doesn't work.. it says i need to power down and remove the card... wtf??? i have the newest bios and embedded program controller thing in my x31 as well... what is going on???

I am also looking to upgrade my x31 with an intel 2915abg card I have on order.

Is this the card you are using?

If yes, then it should be a vaid configuration as IBM sell them with the 2915abg.

If you've ordered a non-IBM made card, I recommend you reading this discussion throughly at least 3 times! I've successfully installed an Intel 2915ABG (non-IBM) card on my X31 today. Took less than 5 minutes and working perfectly apart from the wireless LED not flashing. Who cares about the flashing LED though!

There are 2 IBM mini-PCI a/b/g cards. The IBM a/b/g card is spec'd to work with the X31 and X40 while the IBM a/b/g II card only has the X40 in the specs.

Maybe you have the a/b/g II card and it won't work with the X31 (?)
