Ultrabay 2000 Help Please

Hi All,
I have a couple of Thinkpads, X30 and X40. The X30 has a 2631 Dock, and I want to use the Ultrabay 2000 with the 2nd HDD adaptor. I picked up the adaptor for $10 on ebay but I cannot find the instructions for its use on IMB(Lenovo?) website. Can anyone walk me through making this work? I have an 80gb HDD already in the adaptor but the machine does not see it on start up.
