lenovo pissing me off

#1 Post by phiber » Mon May 16, 2005 9:09 pm

I want to order the 2885k4u from the educational website. everytime i try to add to cart and then add the 3 year on site thinkpad protection, it keeps asking me to specify a value for wireless. but there is no choice! because it comes built in with bluetooth a/b/g

so the [censored] site won't let me add it.... does anybody know what i should do?

Try calling IBM...er, Lenovo. The site wasn't really effective even when IBM owned it.

Give them a call, tell them you're on the educational site. You'll get the same price and they'll take care of the problems.

phiber,

Try to watch your language on this website. The people here are polite and friendly. We directed you toward a good machine, and we saved you a lot of money.

As far as the website is concerned, I belive that it's still old IBM software so I would not go and blame Lenovo. When, I placed my order on IBM website, I go an error, and the message to try again. I did, and I had two idenical laptop orders, but they took care of it with a phone call. I also couldn't add any memory because the website incorrectly said that the 2885-K4u had 1Gbyte installed. There was a poll on this forum, and I voted that the website could only go up with Lenovo.

It's OK friend, we all make mistakes! Good luck with your order. Just ordered my x40 last night, yes the site isn't that great - at least it went through!
