Just Purchased: X41 2528-6NU

I purchased a X41 2528-6NU for a family member, and took advantage of the free UltraBase from the website - yesterday, 05/19/2005. The total, including 3 year TPP and the CD-RW/DVD Combo II was $2,167.90 (excluding tax).

The UltraBase and CD Drive shipped the same day (05/19/2005) from Hong Kong (order was placed at around 3:00 p.m.). I got the tracking number after several phone calls.

I am told by Customer Service that the system should be shipped either today or Monday, but I'll believe it when I get a tracking number. Funny part is the Order Status website is messed up - the only portion of the tracking number that is shown is "1Z".

Perhaps Lenovo is getting their act together and are shipping orders faster? Funny part is, I thought the UltraBase and CD would be shipped from North Carolina (by T42p accessories were shipped from there). Maybe the rep and website got them reversed.

I, too, ordered 2 days ago actually. And right now it says that it has been shipped on the website? And I have a tracking number...seems maybe they are sending them out now as the orders are recieved.

I don't have a tracking number yet, but the general info people said that it might be until July for shipping...

They said the sales reps might have more information. Bumpy transition. I'm wondering if I should return the CD-RW/DVD combo, just in case that's defective (and I won't find out until the system gets here) and it is past the 30 day return policy.
