One time, I had an UPS package that said it was damaged in transit.

When I got the package, it was apparant that UPS had put it in a new box because the receipt was completely crumbled and box inside was a little compressed. Thankfully, everything turned out to be okay. This was something sent UPS Ground.

UPS isn't exactly know for treating their packages gently. FedEx Express does a better job at doing that. But FedEx Ground and UPS Ground are about equal.

Well, UPS is posting all sorts of excuses to my X41 as well.

First warehoused, then missorted, warehoused again, yet again, and now it became a LIVE ENTRY... C'mon, after four days of this crap it would be dead by now.

It's hard to believe it's a paper problem. Once maybe... Did anybody get a word from Lenovo saying it's their fault? Because I'm starting to think UPS is shipping it by truck from KY, saving a penny in the process. :?

Apparently, the "LIVE ENTRY" is used to designate that it is an electronic item and that they must hold it to ensure that it won't blow up (a bomb or something posing as a computer... kind of like how they make you turn on a PC at Airport Screening sometimes).

At least, that was the excuse I got from UPS today.

I got the same thing from UPS. Mis-Sorted at hub, delayed at facility (appears to have passed customs). Also have one "Receiver requests UPS to contact them & hold package" which I never called them about, which is also strange.

My faith in UPS goes down by the day.

We shall see.
A little late but I just thought I would throw in my 2 cents as I also have that same message as I am waiting for my X41 when I never called.

Whoops, indeed it is. Hopefully the next time I post I will be on my brand new X41.
