Hello
I have an X21.
I need an HD caddy. Can I use a caddy from a different Thinkpad? I already have the proper X21 cover for the caddy so I only need the HD cage (caddy without plastic cover)
Thanks
I think I got bit by the Thinkpad bug … these are such neat little machines…

Re: ThinkPad X21 HD Caddy compatibility
You can use any Thinkpad 2.5" caddy that does NOT have the plastic pull tab. Because the HDD cover slips over the two "front" screws, there's no room for a tab if there is one on the caddy:

Thank you both for the reply. Thanks very much rkawakami for the photo. I truly appreciate the time you took to take a photo and post it for me. I am most obliged.
---On an unrelated note.
Just to let you guys know, I have about 10-15 macs of varying vintage that I really love but I have to say, the thinkpads are brilliant machines in so many ways, how could I have missed their wonder all these years. After having purchased an X21 I have another hobby. I am looking forward to getting into collecting a few of these marvellous machines.
Thanks again guys.
