Who actually has RECEIVED an X41?

#1 Post by edbern » Wed Jun 01, 2005 11:34 pm

I am still waiting for mine, ordered in mid April. My rep and his supervisor are still giving me the runaround. The web site says "Packing" but NO ONE can give me a clue when it might actually ship.

Anyone have better info?

I placed my order on 4/22/2005.

I got this notice on 5/27
"Please be advised, as of May 23, 2005, the packing slip has been printed on your order and it is expected to ship shortly.
Please allow 7 to 10 business days for configuration, plus an
additional 3 to 5 business days for shipping, via UPS Ground
Service".

and today

I got this Fxxxxx mail
" We apologize, but shipment of one or more items in your IBM order, has been delayed. We now estimate that all items in your order will be shipped by 07/07/05.

ㅋㅋㅋ

I ordered an X41 on 05/18/2005 and it went from "Call" to "Packing" and according to the Lenovo Rep, it should have shipped either Tuesday or Wednesday. Still saying "Packing."

Very dissapointed right now at Lenovo.

how many dead pixels do they allow for a replacement? :?:

And one of the bad things is the price of it.
When I ordered x41, the price of it was $2,199 and now it's $2,099 even though I haven't get it and i think it could be under $2,000 on July....ㅠ.ㅠ

Got two of 'em and they're great!

Just want to voice up that I've got two X41s (up here in Canada) and they're both working great!

They arrived last week and worked perfectly out of the box: no dead pixels, and no problems.

Seemingly as one of the first ones in Denmark (where I live), I will be getting an X41 (2525-3CG) on Wednesday.

I ordered my X41 from IBM on 4/20/05 and never received it. I got the same runaround everyone else seems to be getting. The website status is useless and my salesman was not much better. IBM was never able to give me an accurate ship date so, after almost a month and a half of waiting, I canceled the order this week. I then order it from PC-Connection and go it the next day. I can't believe it didn’t occur to me to do this earlier - didn't have to pay tax either. As far as I can tell, IBM is having major problems!

(I actually got two X41's in one week, both with fan noise problems. That's a whole other story though. See my other post.)
