Thinkpad X31 ... stuck to docking station !

Hello ! My first time on a forum such as this. This ancient grandmother has a much loved ancient x31; I usually undock it when I travel abroad to work in an African shanty-town and leave the dock at home. Now its stuck ! I searched on Google for some help; it directed me to advice which no longer exists .... my machine IS ancient, and has outlasted a few other laptops. HELP !

Welcome to the forum. :)

Is it the Ultrabase you are talking about? Could it be that the switch on the bottom got moved to the "locked" position?
