Output to TV from X41?

#1 Post by ManUtdFan » Sun Jun 12, 2005 11:13 am

Just got my Thinkpad X41 and boy do I love it! One problem that I did anticipate though, is output to a television. Since it has neither a S-VHS nor a Composite output, just D-Sub, what possibilities do I have if I want to connect the Thinkpad to a regular television?

You will probably need a scan converter box. Find one that can at least input VGA and output S-Video, composite, or Coax (which ever you need).

I found one at radio shack which took S-Video to composite & coax for an older tv I had...it was ~$30.

Okay thanks, I will check it out :) I'm guessing a converter cable in itself does not exist?

It's powered off of the USB port, so no power adaptors, either. Takes VGA in, outputs S-Video and RCA video.
Current: 365XD (120 MHz, 72 MiB, 6.4 GB, 4x CD-ROM, 10.4" TFT)
