It's not too surprising that Apple is crazy about pentium M and Yonah.

Amusing? Perhaps the stupidity of the author might be considered amusing by some :?

Tablets do not compete with full featured machines like iBook or PowerBook. And complaining about the screen resolution is also silly - did he really expect more than 1024x768 on a 12" display?

The comparison is Apples (no pun intended) to Oranges.
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!

Yes.

That's the only problem I see with the X series - the screens are only available in XGA (well, I'm not counting the SVGA screens available on the X2s...) No SXGA+. Otherwise, they're PERFECT.

By "amusing" I meant silly. Strange comparison to be sure.

Pretty silly to say "OH THIS 12.1 INCH SCREEN CANT DO ULTRA HIGH RES IN MEGA GAMING MODE" Especially for a portable laptop...

Well, I wouldn't game much on any computer, and what I would play, crappy integrated graphics could only run it at 1024x768 ;-)

That said, if I had the choice between an X41 and a Toshiba with an SXGA+ 12.1" screen, I'd take the X41. (Of course, as for the Tablet, I'd have to debate some more - it's looking like the X41 tablet won't work on the UltraBase, after all... and I don't want the X4 Dock...)
