Difference between IBM integrated Bluetooth III and IV

The X41 tablet is coming with:

IBM Integrated Bluetooth IV with 56K Modem(BMDC-3)

The X40 notebook has:

IBM Integrated Bluetooth III with 56K Modem (BMDC2)


Does anyone know the difference between the two? I was hoping IBM's bluetooth IV would support the Bluetooth 2.0 spec , specifically EDR.
