I have an x30 and an x32. The x30 can access my 1394 Buslink external drive but the x32 does not. I am not sure if the x32 ever did. In device manager the OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller is displayed, as well as a 1394 network device, but the x32 does not show the IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device in Hard Drives as does the x30.
PC Doctor does not have a test for the firewire port. I am just trying to determine if my problem is hardware or software. If it is hard ware I will just get a USB drive for backing up my Cubase recordings. Is there a way to find this information?
