Thinkpad X31 temperature values

#1 Post by General9913 » Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:52 pm

Hi, I'm wondering what's the normal operational temperature of the IBM thinkpad X31. I know it runs hot, even undervolted. I'm aware I need to control the fan speed manually because the bios settings kicks in only in the 65~70ºC range. But there's some values that concern me in the tpfancontrol program, what the value "CRD" stands for? Most of the time it runs 5~10ºC hotter than the cpu!

Thanks!

CRD = Current Regulator Diode. The values read from that sensor are typically inaccurate and are not to be trusted.
