X41 Back-order time

Hi,
For those who ordered an X41 recently, can someone tell me what is the back ordered time for X41?
The website says it is 2 weaks.
Assuming I order it today, how many days will it take for it to be shipped?

Hi, just wait, I order mine last Monday, and the rep. told me should ship within one week.

Last monday is June 27, yours will shipped within one week from today.
So, you back-order time is about 2 and half weks, am I right?
BTW, which model did you order? Just the first 4 digits.

So, your back ordered time is 2 and half week?

Not yet. The rep told me it would be shipped next week. Thus almost 4 weeks. What's your estimated ship date?

The estimated shipping isn't really that accurate. For all we know, it could arrive tomorrow!

Here is an email from my Lenovo rep regarding the delay of my x41.

"This is being affected by a quality hold on the hard drives. I have no tablets going out as well as these x41 notebooks, killin me. This is a hold worldwide though, no one is sending these out. Sorry. As soon as its fixed they will ship, his eta was last week in July, but hopefully sooner"

Looks like it. My system is showing that it will ship on 8-8-05. My first unit had bad screen so I returned it and ordered this unit. Total wait time will be 2.5 months.

From espresson's post, does it mean that the hard drives of all previously shipped X41 have some problem?
Just curious what kind of problem it is...

My X41's drive kept finding lost sectors. I backed up using IBM Rescue and Recovery, called IBM/Lenovo who couriered a replacement, and restored. Pretty painless and very prompt service.

I did have to wait for over one month to get my hands on the X41.
