I've got an x41 tablet that doesn't come with bluetooth by default. I took the bluetooth model out of an r50p that I had lying around (BMDC200) and it had the exact same shape and connector as the original modem card.
However, when I plug it in and turn on the machine, I get an error code about an "unauthorized daughter card" and won't let me boot without removing it. Is there any way to work around this? modded bios perhaps?
Take a look at our

That BIOS should solve it.

Re: Bluetooth daughter card on x41 Tablet
IIRC the X41/t needs a BDMC3 (combo modem/BT).
Remove that BT-card, then try.
If error still there, also remove wifi-card and/or HDD/SSD, then try.
Unrelated: if you want faster wifi, get a TP-Link TL-WN861N (300 Mbps).
