Ordered a bundle on 7/5/05.
Shipping today (7/26/05) per the e-mail I just received overnite.

If TRUE that's not bad for a brand new product (in my opinion).

Status shows "shipping" on the website too, though only the tablet is shipping. The X4T dock and combo drive I also ordered at the same time is still scheduled for deliver sometime next month.

Well now I find out Monday's e-mail stating my tablet had shipped was a false alarm. I rechecked the status link today to see if I had a tracking number issued and it now says "call" instead of yesterdays "shipping". My dock and burner are now in "packing" where they were not yesterday. I called as instructed and was told the system was sending out false e-mails about tablets being shipped. This sales rep said he's not aware of any tablets shipping currently and he's been told to tell new orders 6-8 weeks and existing orders 6-8 weeks from date of placement. Right now the goal is 8/12/05 for orders placed late June early July. I agree with the previous poster who said they'd belive it when it was in their hands. Yep! I don't have a trip planned until late August so for me the delay isn't painful.

Ordered, July 7th (or 8th?)
ETA: Aug. 16th.
Shipped: July 21st
However, still hold at custom for clearance.

That is just about the same time I ordered mine and mine also shipped on the 21st. Tracking says I'm getting mine tomorrow though.

Earlier this week I called UPS and the broker said customs held up an entire crate of 73-76 thinkpads.

BTW: does anyone think about buying a 4-cell battery? It seems the 8-cell battery is too big and looks ugly.

You who got it are lucky. I ordered the bundle on July 5 and am still waiting. Original ship date was 7/26. It moved to 8/12. Now it is at 8/24. Got an email last week saying that they were sorry for the delay and that it would ship 7/26, which didn't make any sense.
