IBM has been criticized for its lack of software included in such machines as my new X40. However I am also lacking user instruction material on components included as optional original equipment (OEM).
I have the optional DVD RAM burner from Panasonic / M a t s u s h i t a (IBM OEM) in my Ultra bay. I have such questions as what type(s) of discs to buy and how to configure this hardware, which is not recognized by the test version of burner software included by IBM in my package. However I don't have any user instruction material from IBM, nor do I find any reference to any on the Web.
There must be other users with this configuration, so I am asking you whether you know of sources of info. on this drive.
Thanks,
Thomas
