and on the new Thinkpad Software Installer is buggy. It kept changing the BIOS so that the value under

Config > Display > HV Screen Expansion

kept toggling off. My screen would shrink to a small window in the cernter of my screen. I also got MS Event Viewer error messages which I posted here:

I notified IBM Support and they are looking into it. I rolled back to the existing driver. I also noticed that my Thinkpad did not ship with the monitor color profile enabled.

If you
1. right click on the desktop
2. click on settings tab
3. click advanced button
4. click color management tab
5. IF nothing is listed for default monitor profile
a. click add
b. choose 'IBMTPLCD'
c. click add button
d. click set as default button
e. click apply
f. click OK
g. reboot
6. IF 'IBMTPLCD' is listed do nothing

I'd appreciate if this was posted as a sticky by a moderator...
