You can compare your price with the VISA discount. The $1,759 25256NU is loaded minus the bluetooth. FWIW, I only paid $1574 for the top of the line X41T.

for model 2525-HU1: it has 1.5 GHz CPU, 60gb HD, Intel a/b/g, Fingerprint Reader, Bluetooth, 8 cell battery, X40 Dock, Multiburner price is $1651

for model 2525-6NU: everything the same like above except no X40 Dock, and no Multiburner price is $1429

For those prices above I'd rather get the 2525-6NU in the Tablet version for $1571. I don't need docking station and DVD burner. I feel the tablet is much more productive for me, also battery lasts longer in Tablet 6.3 hours comparing to 5.7 hours in non tablet.

Maybe I am missing something here. I checked that VISA page and the lowest priced X41T I see is the 18695cu at about $1894 and that's neither the top of the line X41T nor anywhere near $1429.

What is the tablet equivalent of 25256nu?

The tablet equivalent of 2525-6NU is model number 1866-6SU has Intel a/b/g, or 1866-6TU has IBM a/b/g . Both are the same price

$1429 is for top of the line for X41 without docking station and optical drive. if you want top of the line X41T without docking station and optical drive, the price will be no less than $1571. These are EPP prices.

ThinkPad X41 Tablet W7TABLP Bundle. That was what I and many others paid for in July.

ok. I think I asked the wrong question and my reply got deleted when I was trying to edit out the wrong question. Please let me try again.

Did I get it right that you guys were actually talking about EPP for those below $1600 for top of the line X41T? That's what I read with the links provided. I also checked the Visa/MC links and I could get nowhere near those aforementioned price? Is Visa/MC discount on top of the posted discounted web price in the links?

Mod, if my posts are to be removed, please kindly send me a pm and tell me where I am out of line since I did not bring up the EPP thing. Someone posted a price and I just asked.

unless you are prepared to deliver the named thinkpad model for the price you state, please don't tantalize super deals that are not available to everyone.. ok.. ?

this is really a SUPPORT forum and not a place to play "one up" on others..
there are sections for general questions and for off topic discussions..
but there is not a section for comparing who got the best deal..
it goes nowhere and is just not fair unless ALL can participate in super discounts..

thanks for your understanding and your active participation

sorry.. it wasn't my intensions to “show off” or anything like that.. the X41 I can buy isn’t the Tablet version.. so I don’t understand why you bring up the Tablet and compare it to the model I can buy.. the Model: 252563G

now that I look at IBM.com VISA/Store there is a version like the one I can buy for $1,759.20 (*Price does not include tax or shipping)
this version is even cheaper then the one I can buy.. coz I only get 4cell battery with mine.. and this model comes with a 8cell battery.. so I can’t see any super discount..

but you are right I should talk about price in a forum that is for support.. I’m sorry..

I only wanted to know if the deal I can get was good or if I should buy it from IBM.com

But I’m truly sorry if I make anybody irritated with my writing here.. I’m truly sorry..

its ok..
no apology needed..
its just a sore subject when this comes up..

i don't like yelling at anyone, it is just not my way.. :)
but if you (or any other person) is/are entitled to a student discount (or employee discount or any other discount program NOT offered to all comers) that others are NOT entitled to receive then it is simply not fair to "flaunt" your advantage..
unless you are offering to supply the same hardware to those others not similarly "entitled" to your student discount..

all you were seeking was to learn if your student discount was the best, so i guess i should not complain to you..

and i'm sorry if i misread your previous posts..
