Screen problem on X32?

I just got an X32 (2885-K4U) but the screen seems to have a small "sun" with radiating concentric circles radiating outward for about an inch or so. It is only noticeable against the Windows XP blue splash screen when switching users. Is this a manufacturing defect? While it is not a dead pixel it is odd and I worry about it getting worse. Has anyone seen this on their X3* or X4* notebook?

This is supposed be like that on the welcome screen. You might want to think about changing your screen settings to 32 bit.
