You can see tabook here and look for all notebooks specs.

X41 models that have BT are all models that the last digit before the two letters is 6 (like 2525-6NU).

Thanks for the clarification on the number 6. I was looking through the specs on a 2525-6HU on the education site and it didn't seem to list Bluetooth as a feature, wonder why it was omitted. It clearly states in the tabook that the 2525-6HU does come with bluetooth though.

if you are asking about just the antenna then the answer is that the antenna is not installed unless the thinkpad was assembled at the factory w/ a bluetooth/modem card.

Hmm..so it is is different then the X40's then...because there are certain models that were assembled with the antenna installed but without the card...and sold as being without BT?

I am not aware of any X40s being sold w/ bluetooth antennas installed but w/o cards. Bluetooth equipped thinkpads actually have 3 parts-- an antenna, bluetooth/modem card, and appropriate clear plates (just stickers for the inside and outside of the case). If an x series shipped w/ an antenna but no card then would it have clear plates showing bluetooth even though that computer didnt have it? that would be a bit odd... I just dont think ibm made thinkpads w/ antennas that were left unconnected. but i certainly could be wrong about this.

BTW, i added bluetooth to an x41 and i didnt mount the antenna behind the lcd. bluetooth works well if you just tuck the antenna underneath the keyboard.

I thought I had also read on this forum that there were cases where a thinkpad did have the bluetooth antenna installed but did not have the modem itself installed.

Yes...there are models that have the antenna factory installed but do not have the modem or clear plate installed. I imagine the 41's are the same.

For those who are interested, here's a pretty extensive thread on how to accomplish Bluetooth upgrades:
